The temperature resistance of PTFE hoses

PTFE tubes have excellent high and low temperature resistance, as shown below:

High temperature resistance
Melting point range: The melting point of PTFE tubes is between 327°C and 342°C.
Working temperature range: It can work for a long time at temperatures of +250°C to -180°C. Some data indicate that its temperature resistance range is -196°C to 260°C, and it can even withstand temperatures up to 680°F (about 360°C) for a limited time.
High temperature stability: It will not become brittle or soften in high temperature environments, and can stably maintain its physical properties in low temperature environments.
Low temperature resistance
Low temperature limit: It remains strong at temperatures as low as -320°F (about -196°C), and can maintain an elongation of 5% even when the temperature drops to -196°C.
Low temperature properties: It has good mechanical toughness at low temperatures, but hardening, embrittlement or overall shape shrinkage may occur when the temperature is too low (such as below -70°C). Therefore, in practical applications, it is recommended that the safe low temperature be controlled within -70°C.
Other performance advantages

Corrosion resistance: It can withstand all strong acids (including aqua regia), strong oxidants, reducing agents and various organic solvents except molten alkali metals, fluorinated media and sodium hydroxide above 300°C.
Insulation resistance: It is not affected by the environment and frequency, the volume resistance can reach 10¹⁸ ohm/cm, the dielectric loss is small, and the breakdown voltage is high.
Self-lubricity: It has the smallest friction coefficient among plastics and is an ideal oil-free lubricating material.
Surface non-stickiness: No known solid materials can adhere to the surface, and it is a solid material with the smallest surface energy.
Atmospheric aging resistance, radiation resistance and low permeability: The surface and performance remain unchanged after long-term exposure to the atmosphere.
Non-flammability: The oxygen limit index is below 90 and the combustion level is V-0.
