Transportation precautions for PU resin pipes

Transportation precautions for PU resin pipes

The following matters should be noted during the packaging, transportation and storage of PU resin pipes to ensure their stable performance and avoid damage:

1. Packaging requirements
Sealed and moisture-proof
Packaging must ensure that the PU resin pipes are completely sealed to prevent water vapor from invading and causing hydrolysis or performance degradation of the material.
It is recommended to wrap the pipes with a moisture-proof lining (such as plastic film) and use shock-proof outer packaging (such as cardboard or wooden boxes).
Classification and labeling
Package according to specifications and models, and mark the product name, specifications, quantity, production date and warning signs (such as "moisture-proof" and "fragile") on the outer packaging.
Protective measures
Install protective covers on the ends of the pipes to prevent damage during transportation; additional protective layers are required for special coated pipes.
2. Transportation requirements
Load and unload lightly
Avoid throwing and dragging during transportation, and use lifting equipment or special machinery to load and unload heavy pipes to prevent structural deformation.
Fixed and damaged
The pipes must be fixed in the transport vehicle to prevent rolling or collision; extra-long pipes must be supported by brackets to avoid friction with the ground.
Environmental isolation
Avoid mixing with sharp objects and corrosive substances during transportation to prevent scratches or chemical corrosion; keep away from heat sources (such as engines, boilers) and open flames.
Anti-shock and anti-pressure
The vehicle must drive smoothly to avoid violent bumps; it is forbidden to pile heavy objects on the pipeline to prevent internal stress concentration.
III. Storage requirements
Environmental control
Temperature: The storage temperature is controlled at 5-40℃ to avoid high temperature (accelerated aging) or low temperature (embrittlement).
Humidity: Humidity ≤65%RH to prevent the pipe from absorbing moisture and hydrolyzing; if the package is damaged, it must be sealed or placed in a dry environment.
Light: Store away from light to prevent ultraviolet rays from accelerating material aging.
Placement specifications
The pipeline is stored flat, with two pads at the bottom (width ≥100mm, ≥100mm from the ground) to prevent deformation.
Open-air storage requires a canopy to cover it to avoid direct sunlight or rain; long-term exposure to severe cold environments is prohibited.
Regular inspection
Monthly check the appearance of the pipeline (cracks, deformation), packaging integrity and storage environment; if the storage exceeds 1 year, contact the supplier to evaluate the performance.
Isolate pollution
Storage area is away from oxidants, grease, iron containers and other pollutants to prevent material degradation or corrosion.
