Explanation of the use of rubber hoses
The use specifications of rubber hoses cover pressure, fluid adaptation, bending installation, maintenance and safe operation. The following are specific instructions:
1. Pressure use specifications
Pressure range control
The hose must be used within the recommended temperature and pressure range to avoid overpressure causing rupture or low pressure affecting the transmission efficiency.
When applying pressure, the valve needs to be opened/closed slowly to prevent impact pressure from causing fatigue of the pipe body or loosening of the joint.
Length margin design
The length variation range of the hose under pressure is -4% to +2%. Appropriate slack should be reserved during installation to avoid excessive stretching of the pipe body or stress on the joint due to insufficient length.
2. Fluid adaptation specifications
Media matching
Select the corresponding material hose according to the conveying medium: nitrile rubber hose is suitable for oil medium, silicone rubber hose is suitable for high temperature liquid/gas, and chloroprene rubber hose is suitable for corrosion-resistant environment.
Before use, the chemical compatibility of the hose and the conveying medium must be confirmed to avoid hardening, cracking or leakage of the pipe body due to medium corrosion.
Special media treatment
When conveying high-viscosity fluids, the bending radius needs to be increased to reduce flow resistance; when conveying fluids containing solid particles, small radius bending needs to be avoided to prevent particle aggregation and pipe wall wear.
3. Bending installation specifications
Minimum bending radius requirements
Wire braided hydraulic rubber hose: 1-layer braiding bending radius is 6 times the outer diameter, 2-layer braiding is 7 times, and 3-layer braiding is 8 times.
Wire wound hydraulic rubber hose: Medium-pressure winding bending radius is 9 times the outer diameter, and high-pressure winding is 10-12 times.
Key points for bending operation
Avoid sharp bending near the joint. If bending is necessary, use elbows and other accessories to change the angle.
The bent part should be kept in the same plane to prevent distortion from causing leakage or joint pull-off.
When the bending part is fixed, ensure that the bending radius meets the requirements and reserve appropriate margins to adapt to pressure changes.
4. Maintenance specifications
Regular inspection
Low-pressure rubber hoses used for a long time need to be checked weekly for aging, surface wear and joint wear.
The hoses in use should be inspected regularly every month, with a focus on appearance abnormalities (trauma, hardening, softening, discoloration, etc.).
Cleaning and storage
Clean the hose surface daily and remove corrosive materials.
For hoses that have not been used for a long time, the residual medium in the hose should be cleaned, and the hose should be sealed and stored after passing an inert medium.
Avoid direct sunlight and high temperature environment during storage, and prevent the influence of ozone, heat sources and electromagnetic fields.
V. Safety operation specifications
Personal protection
Operators need to wear safety protective clothing (gloves, rubber boots, eye protection, etc.) to prevent personal injury caused by medium leakage.
Work environment management
Ensure that the work area is safe and orderly, and avoid contact between the hose and sharp/rough surfaces.
Check the firmness of the joints to prevent the joints from falling off or bursting under high pressure.
Pressure management
Turn off the pressure when not in use to prevent the hose from being in a pressure-resistant state for a long time.
It is forbidden to directly contact the hose with open flames or high-temperature objects to prevent thermal aging or burning.
VI. Transportation and handling specifications
Handling requirements
Handle with care and avoid dragging or bending the hose.
Do not mix with acids, alkalis, oils and organic solvents to prevent chemical corrosion.
Storage conditions
The storage temperature should be controlled between 0℃ and 35℃, and the relative humidity should not exceed 65%.
The coiled hose should be stored flat, and the stacking height should be limited to the bottom product without deformation.
After long-term storage, it is necessary to inspect and test before use to ensure that the performance meets the requirements.
